In Windows XP, a client is currently using 800x600 resolution solely for the
purpose of getting the large icons in the TaskBar at the bottom of his
screen.
Switching the monitor settings to the full 1600x1200 that the monitor is
capable of reduces the size of the TaskBar icons unacceptably (the rest of
the icons are somewhat manageable through the Appearence Properties).
The TaskBar settings (right click on the TaskBar) do not appear to contain
any way to affect the size of the TaskBar or Icons within.
I presume that I have overlooked some settings. Assistance is appreciated.
Most things can be altered by right-click decksktop, settings, appearance tab, advanced, select items from the dropdown box (you probably want 'icon' and maybe 'menu' .. sadly exactly which does what is not obvious) and change the size &/or font and fontsize.
I can't really recommend what'll be best for you - tastes vary.
