I was was trying to copy a data folder, about 80MB, to a DVD+RW which I
thought would be a straight forward copy/paste operation with Explorer
or in My Computer. I have copied data to CD-R with this drive and also
copied DVD video with Nero Essentials 6 which came with the drive.
The error says:
'Windows encountered a problem copying this folder.'
'What do you want to do?'
retry skip cancel
Nero Express 'disk info' shows:
DVD+RW 4,483 MB
disk is empty
However, it says it will only write to CD-R/RW
The same data folder then copied to a CD-R without a hitch.
This is the first time I have tried to write data to a DVD.
What do I have to do to get this to work??
:-S
Thanks
Mike

XP does not have the tools to write to DVD disks. To use a DVD as a giant floppy disk you need 3rd party packet writing software installed. I'm not familiar with Nero Express but I thought the packet writing component of Nero was InCD.
