Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

about a week ago my computer had its microsoft firewall switched off by
something else and ever since has been attacked from outside. I installed a
macafee firewall as the computer told me it could no longer access the
windows firewall. Since then, everytime i connect to the internet, something
gets into the computer. I scan it several times a day and each time there
are about 100 infections. My hp printer has now disappeared although is
still in devise manager but every time i try to install it, it tells me my
print spooler is turned off. i have tried turning it back on, but to no
avail. It tells me volume could not be found. Internet explorer has
crashed, although i have since restarted it. HELP

Having a firewall, though important, is not the only component of safe computing. Your system is infected and once that's the case, a firewall isn't going to help. Follow the malware removal steps Malke gave you.
