Re: Task scheduler
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Hi Rob,
The account under which Task Scheduler is to run must be passworded.
If you want XP to log you on automatically after you password the
account, here's the procedure:
1. Go to Start => Run
2. Type in (or copy and paste from here)
control userpasswords2 (note the space after "control")
3. Click OK (or press the enter key)
4. In the resulting window, uncheck "Users must enter a user name and
password....."
5. Click once on the account you want XP to boot into without stopping
at the "enter a password" screen
6. Click OK
7. Enter the new password for the account twice in the window that pops
up, Click OK
.
