This is not true for the newer versions of Roxio as well as Nero.
I did not have any problem with Roxio 5.0 and 6.0 on my desktop computer where now IMAPI is broken and behaves totally erratical.

And Roxio 6.x and Nero 6.0 co-exist happily with the XP burning (IMAPI) on my old notebook as well as my new TabletPC.

You could uninstall that software.

This did not help om my side - even after ahving used Roxio and Nero's cleaning utilities.

IMAPI still behaves totally erratical.
