Other posters have complained about the search function not working. The
major problem all of you are having is that this isn't really a forum.
It's a web interface to Usenet newsgroups and it's awful. None of the
regular helpers (like me) use the web interface.
For your immediate problem, use Google Groups Advanced Search to do your
searching. You can constrain the search to whatever newsgroups you
like, in whatever language you like, to specific posters, and to a
specific time period.
For the bigger picture, set up a newsreader to access newsgroups instead
of trying to use the web interface. This is easily done and here is
information about that to help you:
Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are
