Sorry not enough info before, running XP SP2 installed.
JVM build 3810 downloaded & installed, got error message 'No Java JVM could
be found on your system, Please download aJRE from http://java.com/getjava'
Hence downloaded and installed that but still getting same error message.
The sun Java is not showing up in Internet Options, Advanced tab or in
control panel.

Any ideas?
Hi Dean,
You rebuilt the machine and installed SUN Java not MS JScript Virtual
Machine (JVM) they are different.
What Operating system you have, and did you got he Update from Ms Website
Update?.
Read this on JVM and if you have a Question send it to the JVM newsgroup :
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/java/
If your JVM installed but corrupted or Damaged try this JVM removal tool
from here:

HTH.
Please let us know.
