Re: Cannot Delete File

I have a file (called "00000012." with no extension) with a creation
date of seven years ago - before this computer was manufactured - and
my guess is that it is a remnant of a program that was installed and
later removed.
When viewed in windows explorer the file appears to be 57 MB. The
file
properties, however, report that its size is zero bytes. The folder
properties, report that there is one file of 57 MB contained. When I
try to delete the file, I get error "Cannot delete file: Cannot read
from the
source file or disk." When I try to delete the folder, I get error
"Cannot
delete 00000012: Cannot find the specified file."

I cannot delete either the file or the folder using windows explorer.
I also cannot delete the file or remove the directory using the
command
prompt. I error checked the disk with both MS and Norton utilities.
I tried a Norton "Wipe Info" utility, but received error message
"Access
Denied." Nothing works.
