Re: Restoring My Computer...

Alright, earlier I posted about having troubles with LogonXP's and Windows
Themes. With the problem solved long ago, I was happy with my new themes and
logons. However, one logon didn't work and I didn't notice this problem only
after I had signed out of my account. The screen is entirely black and I get
this weird message basically saying the logon wont work. When I click on "ok"
the messages pops back up and it's an endless cycle.

That isn't the problem, however. I held the power button until it shut off
(since there was no option on the screen to shut it off) and then turned it
back on. Knowing there's an F() button to push when you want to restore your
computer right when it's loading, I pressed all the F(#)'s buttons as fast as
I could. I got a few different things but none of them had the option to
restore my computer so I can't go back to an earlier date to fix this problem.

If anyone has a solution, please help me! Very appreciated.

Restore your computer how and to what? It's not clear from your message what's going on. Are you saying you can't login to the windows at all?

There might be some sort of restore function that is invoked by a function key that was installed by the computer OEM, so if that's what you're talking about then contact the computer's tech support.

Repeatedly pressing F8 just as the BIOS screen disappears should bring up the Advanced Options menu with choices such as Last Known Good Configuration and Safe Mode. Booting into safe mode you could try running a system restore.

Otherwise you need to better describe the problem you're experiencing and what you're trying to accomplish.
