After performing a system recovery of my windows media xp 2005 the data
stored in the My Backup isn't all accessible. Two of the three user files are
ok. The one user id files are restricted. I do believe the files are still
there. They show up during a virus scan. This user did require a password to
log on, the other 2 did not. I do know the user password. Since the recovery
the window user screen isn't there so I can't enter the password. I
understand that all program files are lost with the recovery the restore
feature was disabled. Any help you can provide in gaining access to the data
files in the last user id is greatly appreciated.

Is it giving an access denied message? If so it's an issue of permissions and ownership. From Start | Help and Support search on ownership and permissions or see these articles.
