Re: My Documents weirdness

Hi:

I saw this post from April, and I'm having the same issue. Does anyone
know why this happened?

In Windows Explorer, the My Documents shortcut that is listed in the left
pane now goes to:
C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\My Documents

I've never had a Local Sevice folder before. What is it and why is it
there?
This shortcut always took me to my actual "My Documents" folder before
and
now it's going to the Local Service whatever that is. I just noticed
the
change today. <<

The only account I have is the administrator account, and Clicking on
My computer, then Administrators Documents always took me to the
regular old "My Documents". Now it takes me to the local service
folder with nothing in it. Just noticed ithappening yesterday.

You should not use the built in Administrator account for normal activities. Create another account, with admin level privileges, and use that. The Administrator account should left alone to use in case something corrupts the normal working account. If you regularly use the Administrator account and it get's corrupted, there is no way to login. After creating the new account copy what you want from the Administrator account to the new account.

In Start | Help and Support search on accounts for info on how to set up and configure user accounts or see these links:
