In news:wKl7h.7737$l25.1863@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,Thanks. I had almost forgotten that I had posted this. For 8 years, I've been without broadband. Suffering with my 30K baud modem. Tomorrow it looks like I can order up DSL through ATT/SBC. If the cost isn'r prohbitive, maybe I'll be on BB in a few weeks. I live in a fairly remote area. At present, I've had extra suffering. For 8 weeks, I haven't been able to access the NGs via earthlink at any speed above 21Kbps. I can get to other news servers w/o a problem but not news.west.earthlink.net

My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:
As I was browsing through my old CDs, I came across (all by MS):
Ancient Lands
MultiMedia Stravinsky
Musical Instruments
and, if I could find it, probably some other CD on (Hollywood) movies.
The latter has probably given way to web sites like IMDB. However,
did the others return in a format more suitable for XP?

No, not that I'm aware of. A lot of that TYPE of content can be still seen using Encarta via MSN and having a speedy internet connection though - it is a subscription service though it isn't that bad actually.
