Hi all,
a couple of weeks ago my antivirus found out that the Notepad.exe file was
infected and since it could not repair it, I was compelled to cancel the
above mentioned file exe; now the virus has been eliminated but the
Notepad
application can not be launched. Do you know I can reinstall NOTEPAD?
Thanks in advance for your help

When you say you "cancelled" notepad.exe, do you mean to say that
you deleted it? If so, restore it from your WinXP CD.
- Click Start / run / cmd {OK}
- Type this command:
expand d:\i386\notepad.ex_ %SystemRoot%\notepad.exe
