Hi...I am using Windows XP and have a problem using the Windows XP backup
utility. I have a Western Digital (WD) external hard drive. The software
that came with the WD is called Retrospect. I can't get it to work
properly
so I decided to use the Windows backup utility Ntbackup. It backs up my
files with no problems, however, I don't know how to view the backup files
on the WD. I tried using Windows Explorer but it won't display the files.
For example, I ran the backup and it created 32gb of data backed up on the
WD. How do I look at My Pictures for example to see if they really were
backed up? All I see when I look at the directory on the WD is Ntbackup
with the size of 32gb. Also, how do I backup my email? No individual
folders. Thanks, Godfrey

If you use an external backup drive then by far the simplest and
most transparent file backup method is a batch file that uses
xcopy.exe.
