One thing I forgot to mention. If you are planning to dual boot then install
Windows first and leave some space for Linux unallocated. Install Linux in
the unallocated space and most distros will automatically setup the dual
boot with Windows. If you install Linux first, then Windows you will have to
install a boot manager to dual boot.

I have no idea, something I heard somewhere. I am new to Linux. Your
pointers, however, are clear and that is what I will do. Now, if I
had a dual XP/Ubuntu set up, I would need a FAT32 partition so both
Ubuntu and XP could see my data, right?
