I purchased my system with Windows xp pre-loaded on it before purchase,

have all the hardware but no way of getting my system files on to a new

service, so I phoned them to ask what to back up to recover from the above
scenario, and that they replied that they couldn't back up windows xp.
Your vendor must provide you with some method of restoring your computer to
its factory-gate settings to be in compliance with the OEM Builders
Licence. There will be some documentation on how to do that with the
documents that came with your computer. Failing that, get in touch with
your vendor.
