For anyone who might be concerned I finally found it. I had windows
firewall switched off, because I didn't want to interfer with my
antivirus program (F-Secure). I turned it on and that's it. No delays,
hangs nothing.
I followed a hint from a fellow, I don't remember his name, while
searching in the net.

Could it be a spyware/malware problem?

Windows XP Home seems to hang (or not respond) when I connect to
Internet for 1 or more minutes. I use ADSL but the same problem appears
with my PSTN connection. Does anyone Know what might be the problem?
