Dear MS Support,
When open my C drive, opening the -> Documents & Settings to change the name displayed for my computer "User" (for example I need to change the name from sherif to susan) I failed & I am always receiving the following error:
"sherif is a windows system folder and is required for windows to run properly, it can not be moved or renamed"
So pls. advise how can i rename it to match with my need?
Thank you truly for your immediate reply & support.
Kind Regards
Sue
The user profile folders (C:\Documents and Settings\Username) _cannot_ be renamed, even if the associated user account has been. So, your best course of action would be to log on using the built-in Administrator account, create a new user account, with the username desired. You can then delete the old user account(s).
