Re: Temporary Internet Files

As I said in an earlier response, I'm far from an IE expert. I
have no idea why that feature is not working as you expect.

If you want an answer to your question you should really be
posting it in one of the IE newsgroups.

news:microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

news:microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Good luck

Hi Nepatsfan,
That option is NOT checked. In fact I went to one of the
sites than checked and it still was zero.
There is something wrong I went to a different site than
checked it said I was there 3 times instead of once. I than
closed the browser and went back now it says been there 8
times all the rest are still zero.

Check Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Advanced page.
If "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is
closed" is checked the count will be reset to 0 when you
exit IE.

Hi Nepatsfan,
I now know this is for IE 6 Browser question but since I
started it here I had to ask.

I went to that site and started to read it and than went to
look at the Organize Favorites and none of my sites have
any information in it as to the number of visits or last
time there.

Is there anything I can do to get this to work?

In the box that pops up make sure you check the box next
to "Delete all offline content".

I have some web pages saved in that I need for reference
in My Documents folder. Will this deleted them?

Those web pages in your My Documents folder are safe. Any
web pages you saved through File -> Save as will not be
deleted. What will be deleted are web pages you elected to
make available offline through the Favorites menu. Take a
look at this article for more info on making web pages
available offline.
