Hi,

A few things to check:

On each computer go to Folder Options => View and check that 'Use
simple file sharing' is checked.

Check the firewall settings on the remote computer.

In Windows XP SP2 make sure that the Windows Internet Connection
Firewall is disabled.

In Windows XP make sure that the Server, Workstation and Computer
Browser services are set at Automatic and Started (Start => Run => and
type in "services.msc" {without the quotes}).
