Try the following:
Right click My Computer,
select Manage,
select Disk Management,
Open to full screen so you can see all the drives,
Highlite the drive you want to change,
Under Action, All Tasks, you can change the drive letters.
Be aware that you can only change the drive letter to an unused letter, so
you may have to experiment a little bit.

Let me start by stating that I am using Windows XP Pro SP2. All of my
drives
had specific letter designations, which several of my programs were linked
to. I made a mistake and did not have all my drives connected when I
added a
new external device and it assumed one of my other drives names. In
short,
how do I rename my drives so they are back to where they were? I tried a
right click on the drive and went to "rename", but it wouldn't let me
change
the letter designation.
