Re: Exporting/Importing OE rules?

Moving the rules and will require going into the Registry.

Log in to the old user.
Start the Registry editor.
Navigate to this key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{long string of numbers and letters}
\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Rules]

Left click on Rules.
File, Export
Name the export oldrules.reg.

Log in to the new user.
Start the Registry editor.
Navigate to this key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{long string of numbers and letters}
\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Rules]
Left click on Rules.
File, Export
Name the export newrules.reg.

Open Notepad.
File, Open
Open oldrules.reg

Open another Notepad.
File, Open
Open newrules.reg

Oldrules.reg will have the rules.
The newrules.reg will have the correct location for the new Identity's
rules.

Go to the Notepad with newrules.reg.
Highlight and copy
{long string of numbers and letters}

Go to the Notepad with oldrules.reg.
Edit, Replace
Paste {long string of numbers and letters} in the replace with box.
Highlight and copy {long string of numbers and letters} from oldrules.reg
Paste {long string of numbers and letters} in the Find what box.
OK
File, Save

Import oldrules.reg into the Registry.
