Re: change the windows owner?

Reboot to free memory. Logon as Administrator, or some user with admin
privileges other than the one you want to rename to/from. Navigate using
explorer to that folder and rename it.

We purchased a used laptop with Windows XP Pro on it. We want to rename
the
file under Docs and Settings that has My Docs in it. .... we want to
change
the persons name to ours. When we try it, I get an error message that says
the name can't be changed because it is a systems folder. What do I need
to
change to be able to change the file name? Thanks, Brian
