copy your
confsys.ini
autoexec.bat

edit them if at prompt (edit <filename>)
comment out/remove entries that are not necessary reboot .

Also check if you can select 'last known good startup???....' at boot
time

Select a different 'hardware profile' , F8?? key- Latest

Disconnect any recently installed hardware, camera, cable etc...


I had similar problem, when I installed itunes ... found the entries
in a startup file and uninstalled it.

disappeared as well.
