Re: Profile

That's what I orginally thought also. I added her as a local administrator
and once I logged in as her, it created another profile called (Sally 1) and
this time it keeps the profile when I log off and back on...very strange.

What you describe agrees with the way members of the
"Guest" group are treated, even though you claim she is
not a member of that group.

As a work-around, promote her to a local administrator
by running this command while you're logged on as a domain
administratoor:

net localgroup administrators "Domain users" /add

it gets deleted and when I log back in as her, it says creating profile
and
setting up IE, and I have to setup outlook, etc.

You say the profile folder gets recreated on the next logon.
Does it actually get deleted during the logoff? If not, how
do you know that it gets recreated?

Any user that is not an admin. this is a recent problem and system
restore
works but........after the restore I still have the same issue. Log
off as
user, log in as admin, log back in as user...profile gets
recreated....bizarre

Does this happen to all users on her machine or only to this
particular user?

Is this a recent problem? If so then System Restore may be
an easy solution.

This user is not a member of guest though

This happens by design for users who are members of

Only one folder created for her profile and it gets deleted
everytime
you
log
in as a different user on that machine and then log back in as
her. If
she
logs into another computer, the profile stays and doesn't get
recreated.
So I
narrowed it down to only this machine, only for her login.

Check in the event log. And check in c:\documents and
settings\
on
that
computer to make sure you don't see a bunch of different
username
folders
for her.
Does this happen when she logs into another computer?
Are you using roaming profiles?

Have a user that when she logs unto the domain on a
certain
computer her profile gets created everytime. Log off and
back on
as
administrator then log back on as that user....profile
gets
created
once again.

If I do the same thing on a different computer with the
same
user...everythings is fine, the profile stays.

You need to be a little more specific: Does her profile
folder
get deleted and recreated each time, or does she get a
different
profile folder each time she logs on?
