Well, you certainly found exactly what my problem is. The only
problem is that once I installed the Guided Help thing and restarted
my pc, it froze up with a good old "such and such is not responding"
message and then I had to close it. Then, just to taunt me, that sam
"windows requires activation" message popped up telling me that i had
26 days left. Is there anything you can do to help me?
I don't have the answer for you but I suggest you make sure you have
everything that you care about on that machine backed up.
I had the same problem with a pc a while back. It was a Dell with the OS
preactivated out of the box. I had used it for about a year when I got the
message that it needed to be activated. Since I didn't need the machine
right then, I took all my stuff off of it and waited out the time to see
what would happen. I ended up getting locked out and had to reinstall the
OS.
