Re: new resolution problem

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

since I have installed the driver for that card which was not installed when
I bought the laptop, I now have multiple choice at both place display in CP
and at the card own settings including the max resolution we are talking
about . Why would I contact nvidea for that. When I boot up I usually yse
the display settings to change it because it seem a little faster to me. Yes
when I slide back the resolution slider to the top , I do clic the Apply
button thinking that it would keep the settings for good but when booting up
again it's back to the low one again. May be I should reinstall my card
driver?

I have had one nVidia and two Ati cards in the last four years - I have
never been given the option of the 1400 X 1050 resolution.
I have checked and it is not on offer with the current GPU.

Contact nVidia and ask them
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/page/home.html

OR Dell.

If you cannot set the resolution you want via Start/Settings/Control
Panel/Display/Settings, then I wonder where or how you had it before?
Yet you say you have to configure it every time to GET this setting?
Is there an 'apply' choice to set it?
I am a bit confused as you say in one post '..and have to configure
everytime in display.' and then you say in another post '....There is a
whole lot of choices as resolution in here but the max 1400 x 1050.'
Are you saying that the 1400 X 1050 is NOT a choice in the display
settings.

this is it Field Value
Video Adapter nVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go
There is a whole lot of choices as resolution in here but the max 1400 x
1050. What I find strange is that before it was always OK when I boot up
and now it is coming with 1024 x 768.
This can't be my native one, it take only 3/4 of my screen . I don't have
the book because I bought it second hand.

Hi
something new is happening now when I log on Windows . It start
everytime
now with a different resolution of 1024 x 768 instead of my regular one
of
1400 x 1050. I don't find any switch that could cause that and have to
configure everytime in display. Where could I change that

1400 x 1050?
What GPU or integrated card do you have - I have never seen that
resolution before - but at least it is 1.33333(4:3) ratio.
How did you get your 'regular one' - where from?
