STOP Error

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry



Whenever I try to boot to safe mode I get the error message given
below. Normal boot works fine. Computer works fine. It just does not
allow me to go into safe mode.

Additional Info:
I am using 32MB NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model64 video card in the AGP slot of
my Intel 815 Chipset motherboard.
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS 6.00PG, An Energy Star Ally Copyright (c)

ERROR MESSAGE:

When I select Safe Mode, it goes upto

and then pops up the below error message

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time you have seen this STOP error screen,
restrart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these
steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If ths is a new installation, ask your hardware or software
manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or
software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If
you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your
computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options and then select
safe mode.
