Can someone tell me which folder WinXP uses to store the recently-opened
files which appear in Documents on the Start menu. Please. Ta.
Rob Graham
Funnily enough, it's called "My recent Documents" in your User folder in
Documents and Settings.......
That's what I thought but I found that if I put some files into that folder
they did not show up in the Documents list. That's why I posed the question.
Since your reply, I have discovered that the files actually opened have a
shortcut in the Recent folder, whereas the imported ones don't. So I
imported some with shortcuts but they don't show up either.
So either the file has to be actually opened for it to show in the list, or
there is another folder involved.
