Cheers mate<g>.
I thought about tiger direct. Looking at it again made me realize I'd prob.
have to hook the mouse up as well.
Forgot about the rodent<g>. Anyway cable I saw that looked pssible was about
10". PC's are prob. 3' apart.
I wouldn't mind even if I didn't need to use the usb wireless adapter as the
modem/router can hold 4Enet cables.
Thanks again for the input.

There is a cable that will allow you to run two PC's, using one monitor,
one
mouse, one keyboard, I have one and I think I got it online from
Tigerdirect.Com, it's actually a switch, you push the switch when you want
to
change from one computer to another, this is the url:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/
Hope this helps,
Cheers mate

I am thinking of connecting my old pc to my current 1. Not for much more
than archiving pics. & music and the like.
Also the old one has MS Office while I have Corel WP Suite on this one.
My
pref. is WP.
Anyway I changed from an old Westel 2200 dsl modem to a 327w
modem/router.
Both pc's have XP Pro. sp2 on them. The old one has a sm. HD and ltd.
memory
(12Gig & 384mb)
W/tis new router came a wireless usb adapter. My ISP is Verizon (3MB
DSL).
Based on what I read from Vz online help, I can follow directions to a
point.
My prob. is I have only 1 monitor (I have a 2nd keybd if needed).
Basically
just looking to
make some use of the old PC (P4-450). Main pc is AMD64 2.2GB sys. w/2MB
ram
I am new to setting up a network, if in fact this would be considered a
full
network.
Any assistance is appreciated. TIA
