Perhaps you read my post wrong Rock. I said I had to do a clean OS
installation 5 weeks ago because my pc was infected. I got some
advice back then, I ran all those scans they gave me, and I couldn't
get rid of the virus. I don't have the virus problem with not
letting me to get to the internet. And, yes, it is my bad to choose
not to scan my pc for 'crapware' because I choose not to. Besides,
I can always reinstall my pc from scratch, and build up to the point
where it is done.
Also, I forgot to mention that I have two OS on my pc. XP Home, and
XP Pro. Last week, I did a backup of the two hard drives with XP
Pro. But my main concern is that if I restore from XP Pro, I am not
sure if XP Home will work fine. Or probably the backup done on XP
Pro affected XP Home at the point where I get such problems.
Well, rac, if you want to bring me in into backup schedules once a
week, what program do you recomend to do such thing? I could
configure XP Pro, or better, I can go XP Pro from now on and use
their backup feature. Nonetheless, what would you recomend rac?
I recommend that you follow Malke's advice and learn how to clean the crap
off of your pc.
I never said to backup once a week, I said rebuild once a week.
Until you 'choose' to deal with malware, the only time your pc will work
well is after a rebuild during that nanosecond between the time you go
online and the time the first piece of crap downloads.
