converter installs automatically as a "USB Human Interface." So I'm
not given the opportunity to install the MX009 drivers per the
directions on the Metrologic website. And when I try to udate the
driver from it's entry in Device Manager, it says that the current
driver is good enough.
On the two computers where the scanner/cable combination is working
properly, the usb-to-serial adapter shows up under the COM ports in
Device Manager. On the third computer, it shows up under USB Human
Interface (or something very close to that).
Have I given enough information for someone to help me start
troubleshooting? This situation is causing a big problem for the
club, and I would like nothing more than to be able to assist them in
finding a solution.
