Hi there!
I have a portable PC with Windows XP Home Ed. SP2, and after a bad system
crash, Network connections window is totally empty and shows no network
connection anymore! Even icon on systray disappeared!
Anyway, I can still connect to my domestic LAN and access other PC and
Internet, but without icon or network connection window I can't access,
modify network configuration, nor add a new one!
Forcing detection of network I get an error msg saying that network
connection service is down while it should be on. I checked the service in
services.msc and it appeared to be automatically loaded and active!
Please help!
THX
Regards

Try booting to "last known good config" , if no change do a system restore
to a date prior to the crash.
