Hi Jim,
There might be a problem with the Path statement in your Environment
Variables. Open the System applet in Control Panel, select the Advanced tab
then click on the Environment Variables button. In the lower pane, System
variables, double-click on the Path variable. The variable value should
read:
%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem
If necessary, change the value to the above, then click on OK, OK and OK
again. Exit Control Panel.
Regards,

I started getting this error message this morning and would appreciate any
info/advice on how to correct and remove the message. Whenever I try to
start QuickVerse is when I get the message.
"System Error:
The Win16 Subsystem was unable to enter Protected Mode, DOSX.EXE must be
in your AUTOEXEC.NT and present in your PATH.."
Whenever I put the QuickVerse CD in and try to re-install, I get the same
error message.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
