My computer started to turn itself off without any error report.First I
thought it was because of the fan and I changed the settings. But nothing has
changed. It turns itself off without any error messages but starts off as if I
had not properly turned it off .PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE HELP ME.
For overheating open the computer case and blow out all the dust using a can of compressed air - these can be had from a computer supplies store. Clean all fans. Turn the system on. Are all the fans running? Another possibility is the power supply unit is failing. One way to check that is to swap it out with a known working one.
With the system running set it not to restart on error to see if it will display an error message. Right click My Computer | Properties | Advanced | Startup and Troubleshooting (I don't have XP open in front of me so I am doing these by memory and might not be exactly correct.) Change it to not restart on an error.
