Uninstalled McAfee came with computer, SP2 Security Center still says McAfee

I uninstall the 90 day trial McAfee Security Center from a Dell computer
and after reboot there is no System Tray alert and Windows XP Security
Center still reports McAfee AntiVirus exists and that it is up-to-date
(when in fact it's over a month old) even though there is no antivirus
program installed!
I have uninstalled all McAfee related products from Add/Remove Programs
as well as all folders under Program Files, how do I make Security
Center aware of the lack of antivirus protection before I install
another antivirus application (AOL ActiveVirusShield)? The computer is
currently offline so it's safe from any attack.
Thanks.
