Re: dialog box sizes and more...

Jeff,

If you're using a 3rd party Theme, or if the current theme reads as
"Modified Theme" or "Windows XP (modified), try switching to Windows XP
Theme. The Appearance settings should revert to default values.

The resolution is correct and I have been thru all of the advanced settings
under the appearance tab of display settings in control panel, and cannot
get
it fixed. It will not accept the size settings that I enter into it. Any
more ideas??

1. Make sure your screen resolution is correct. Start-Control
Panel-Display-Settings. Use the slider to adjust resolution, click the
Color
Quality arrow box and set to 32 bit color. Click Apply / OK.
2. To set dialog box font size, Start-Control
Panel -Display -Advanced-Font
size-Advanced.
3. To set icon size, Start-Control Panel Display-Settings-Advanced-General
4. To Internet Explorer font types and sizes, right click IE desktop icon,
Properties-General-Fonts.

Hope this helps

On my XP Home SP2 PC, the sizes of the icons, dialog boxes, icon
spacing,
taskbar/start button size, etc. are much, much larger than normal. Not
sure
what caused this, but I cannot seem to get them back to normal. For
example,
the Active Title Bar is suppose to be set to size 18 w/ a font of Tahoma
at
size 8.....but I cannot get the size of the Active Title Bar to go below
29.
It stops there and won't let me decrease it any further. What can I do
to
get my screen back to its normal appearance? I've tried System Restore,
and
no help. Thanks for any help.

Jeff
