ok because i was looking at the 4AllMemory website and they say sdram
so i take it they are the same
SDRAM is a generic type of RAM, normally 72PIN SDRAM, PC100 - the
important part is the 72PIN and PC100, PC133 will not work in the
machines.
Crucial.com states PC133, 256MB RAM for $77 each. Max of 512MB for
GX100. I could be confused, I was sure that PC100 was the only thing I
could get working in them, maybe it's a BIOS Update that we missed a
long time ago.
Anyway, these are 400Mhz machines that we have, with 256MB RAM, and they
still run well. I know for a fact I have PC100 in them, but if they will
take PC133 (as per Crucial.com) I will order a set and try it myself.

Sorry, it's 168 PIN memory, 72PIN was the old EDO/FPM memory.
168 pin dimms. The FPM is 5v for old Macs, but EDO shipped either way.
And no, you can't put EDO dimms in the old Optiplex, but some even
older p1 and p2s accepted it.
