If you don't know what the files and folder are for, you do NOT clean them
up. You don't allow an automatic program to clean them up either. You
actively research, and then intelligently choose, which files/folders you
may safely delete. Delete the wrong items and you may destabilize or
compromise your system's performance. You may also destroy some programs
that you still are actively utilizing.
Many people keep logs of what programs they install, the date installed and
the installation location. They then do not get into your predicament!

Is there a good program out there for cleaning up old files off the
computer?
I've got so much junk on my computer that I'm not sure what does what, and
I'm sure that some stuff can be deleted, but I don't know if other stuff
should.
Suggestions?
Thanks
