Hi i just recently did a destructive system recovery and erased everything
from my pc.i let the system recovery finish and load all the factory
applications. the tcomputer was running an working fine until about 3 days
later. i was in the process of updating everything when the pc became
laggy.
i looked in the task manager and it says 100 % cpu usage when i have no
applications running.i went to the processes window and the two things
thats
sucking all the usage are system and update.exe. i have tried to closed
update.exe but it wont end the process. is it becase the upate.exe is
under
under system and not owner. i have the first windows xp and im tryin to
update to windows sp2 but i cant because of high cpu usage. even when i
restart the pc the update.exe is sucking all my usage. help me plz. i
wanna
upgrade to sp2 before october because thats when windows stops supporting
my
version

Are you sure you are reading that 100% as usage or as 'idle'?????
