Try running this from Start>Run:

C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Account Name>\Local Settings\Temp

i know that the file i want is a temp file and it's in
localC\docs&settings\user\local settings\temp.
however when i go into c i can only get as far as user - there does not
appear to be a local settings folder
