Hello everyone!
You don't know how happy I am that finally my internet works (at least
partially). I could not get it to work all day and finally after turning it
off and on and unplugging it, it finally works well enough to reach you nice
people.
All the viruses seem to have left my computer, I did a AVG Free check and a
Spybot search and destroy check, they both found stuff I had and now that
seems to be ok.
The only problem is that I cannot get in my Yahoo mailbox, I give my email
address and my password and I get the empty boxes to fill with the above
details again and again. I got fed up, openned a hotmail account and when I
try to access the mailbox, the same story repeats again.
I asked my husband to access it from work and he managed to get into my
yahoo account without problems. On the hotmail account he gets a kind of
agreement between microsoft and me, mentionning an account of some sort, but
it dosen't sound like the usual account agreement you get when first using a
new email adress.
I was browsing through the different problems people have just in case I
could solve mine by reading and someone named Martin L seem to have a similar
problem.
He cannot get to his mail accounts but his internet seems to work fine, just
like mine, although I had a hard time getting to get the reply box.
Is there a way to repair this problem?
I tried to change my password on yahoo but I had that account for so long I
cannot remember the answer to the secret question anymore! It was at least
six or seven years ago!
Thank you everyone for being so nice and so patient with me, it feels good
to know that you are out there...

Hello Mr Blake
Yes I am new. My Dad is the 1 that always posted but unfortunately he
had a bad stroke about 1 1\2 months ago and I am using his servers.
Peter? Yes, I remember him. Sorry to hear about his stroke, and best of luck
to him.
Thank you for pointing out the issue with the poster to whom I
answered. Noted and marked for next time
You're welcome. Glad to help.

Hello Andrew
What the heck is all this rumbling and nonsense.
You must be new here. This is Andrew E., our resident troll. He
always posts incoherent, useless, and often downright malicious
advice.
If you do not know the answer then do not post.
Alas, in true Troll fashion, he will completely ignore you, as he
ignores the rest of us. He knows next to nothing, but posts
prolifically, and ignore all messages pointing out his errors.

Actually thier correct in "boot from cd",simply install new copy of
xp,restart
computer, open the BIOS,in the BIOS,advanced, look for boot priority
or similiar,
change to cd 1st (with xp),then the hd,save and exit BIOS.Once at
xp cd boot
screen,select "install xp" new copy,delete the partition,create
one,then xp
formats and installs auto....If you bought the upgrade
version,you'll be asked
to briefly install an older windows OS cd,otherwise if you dont have
one,you'll
go no further,or buy the full xp version....

I purchased a copy of windows xp home but I found out that it was
not genuine... So, paying for my mistakes, I went out and bought
the real McCoy
from Bureau en Gros (Office Depot). I waited for the 30 days to
expire for
the first copy, I thought that it would be deleted and I tried to
install the
real thing. But then when I put the new CD in the CD drive,it
would not start from it, but it still runs on the bad version that
remained in the computer. Since my computer knowledge is limited,
could someone tell me how
to uninstall the bad version (first copy) and install the good
one. My computer is partitionned in two so I don't think I have
to loose all my stuff
that I have saved to it. Basically I was told to boot from disk
but my computer does not want. Help Pleeeeaaaase!
Thank you in advance,
