Re: Help from MVP's???

Hi Rick,

after many attempts at replacing various files, soon as I replaced one it would ask for another!, I decided to go ahead and do a re-instal of winxp-pro and it worked quite well, I still have some minor issues like re-installing some drivers but it is almost done and I have my original win installation working and this time I'm backing up some important files!!!
Lesson well deserved, right???

Tks very much for your help, it's greatly appreciated!!!

Hi,

Did you add any new hardware and what was the file you replaced? Did you check that it was the appropriate version for the system? Many files have been updated since the initial release via service packs, you may have overwritten the file with an older version.
