I was hoping that I explained it so it could be understood. You must be
exceptionally smart or I did OK. ;-) Or...
Glad you got it figured out at any rate.

Thank you Wesley. Yes, got the problem worked out. Your reply got me to
looking at it closely. I opened all the files and simply moved any icons
that were in All users over onto my desktop only. Worked like a charm.
Thanks for your help. JV

Maybe, it depends on how many users you have.
The Desktop you see is a combination of two folders.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
and
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Desktop
Or...
%userprofile%\Desktop
and
%allusersprofile%\Desktop
Move anything that you do not want on the Guest Desktop from
%allusersprofile%\Desktop to YOUR Desktop. I.e. %userprofile%\Desktop
when
YOU are logged on.
To open YOUR Desktop. Paste into Start Run and click OK...

To open All Users Desktop.Paste into Start Run and click OK...
%allusersprofile%\Desktop

I set up a GUEST account on my system.
I don't want various program icons available for a guest user; I'm
unable to delete them unless I delete them off of my administrator
desktop, which I don't want to do.
Is there a work-around?
