When I boot up and sometimes when I access Word 2000, I get a popup window that shows "Windows Installer" active, then ....installing... When I click ok or red X it out, I get a popup from Symantec that states, "Norton Antivirus 2006 does not support the repair feature" What is Windows Installer doing? What "repair feature" is Symantec referring to?Hi Jim
To "repair" what?
I have Win XP and never have had this problem before.
This is a fairly common problem caused by people moving the Norton Programs group on the start menu to somewhere else like a custom folder
called Utilities or Tools. Just do a google search for the string
Norton Antivirus 2006 does not support the repair feature
and you will find a few hits

Badger,
The one who says it cannot be done
should never interrupt the one who is doing it.
