Ok, how do I format and reinstall

I have had it and I am going to do what people told me to do a long
time ago.
I am going to reformat the drive and start over.

This is how I figure I am going to do this, please help me out if I
leave out a step or mix something up.

1) Boot with XP sp1 diskettes (6 of them)
2) once the boot is done, format the drive using
format c\:

3) Once this is formatted, boot again with the 6 diskettes. Find the
install on the CD and run setup.
4) go from there.

My concern is being able to run SETUP from the disks. If it doesn't
work, should I boot from the CD?

Thanks in advance
