Windows XP would be worth it...if it were a decent product.
Instead, it is a product that is still in development.
As is every current OS on the market, including ALL version of Linux
and most of any good program out there.

Lethos,

You fail to mention that Linux is in constant development with many
distros releasing a new version every 6 months or so. Windoze on the
other hand is lucky to see a new version in 6 years - and then one
has to wonder just what has really changed as it's still Windoze and
still sucks.
No, I didn't fail to mention it, as Windows is constantly in
development also, just look at what they add/change. Development never
ends on any quality product, each new change is used to gain more in
the next release.

Improvements like WPA, DRM, WGA...

XP would be pretty good without that crap, you must admit.

Alias, who loves XP but has no use or patience for MS forcing paying
customers to play their cops and robbers games with flawed programs.

I have no need for WPA, WGA, WGAN, or DRM either, but it doesn't make my
daily use of all the Windows workstations/servers any less pleasurable.
I don't even notice those items for weeks or longer.

As best I can tell, XP is currently the best desktop OS on the market,
supported by more applications that most users share data with, and by
more hardware than anything else available.

More FUD from Fanboy. Tell us what CPUs Windoze runs on and compare that
with Linux. "Best desktop OS" my ass. You sure do live a sheltered life,
don't you? Totally clueless about what's out there now.

WGA is the best thing that has happened for Linux in a while.
