What is it that causes the pop-up from Microsoft that reads "This is not
a
genuine Windows product"?
It means your running a fake copy of Windows.
What should I do about it?
Go out and buy a real copy of Windows, or format your system drive.
You obviously don't have all the facts, do a search on GWA and then
perhaps you can post an informed response.
Why? Is WGA broken? If so, why doesn't Microsoft remove it then?
Lots of folks got burned thinking that they bought a legal copy, but ended
up with a bogus copy? That's they price they pay for supporting an economy
that cares more about the cost than the quality of products.
