Actually, Vista doesn't do a traditional upgrade. Because of the new
WIM technology it's ( Vista ) install/upgrade is actually an Imaging
type of install. If I understand it correctly it operates more like a
Files & Settings transfer after the Image is laid down. XImage is the
new tool for implementing/modifying your own custom image.
All Win2K & XP64 users will need to do clean installs.
Only XP Home will be truly upgradeable to any flavor of Vista.
But by the looks of the chart, I'd say that upgrading is gonna be riskier
than it has been in the past.
