Re: already activated xp keeps trying to activate

Thanks, Ron. However, I retired that platform on Sunday. I moved the
functions on that platform (Pentium II at 450MHz) to a "new" platform
(Pentium 4 at 1.6GHz). I will be reinstalling the OS on the old
platform in preparation for donation to a local charity. That process
should definitely cure the activation prompts.

Further to my previous. I just logged on locally to the offending
machine. A 30-day notice activation required warning entry was added
to the event viewer. So, it does not seem to be associated strictly
with RDT access, but with some time period between last logon and/or
last issued warning.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I have been away for a week
due to some medical issues.

I have seen some reported instances where it apparently helped to
reboot the problem computer into Safe Mode and then do the registry
fix for the .DLL files as per my July 6th posting.

Good luck
